Identity and civil status includes passports, marriage records and, where relevant, previous divorce or name-change records. Check whether the issuing country’s documents need legalisation or an apostille and whether a sworn German translation is expected.
The sponsor’s status in Germany usually centres on the residence title, registration certificate and employment. Keep the card and any Zusatzblatt together; conditions printed on the supplementary sheet can matter.
Household means may involve salary statements, an employment contract, housing evidence and health-insurance arrangements. The precise relevance depends on the sponsor’s title and the family route.
The applicant’s requirements can include forms, photographs, insurance planning and, in some cases, evidence of basic German or the basis for an exemption.
Label uncertainty honestly
Mark each line as ready, requested or needs confirmation. Do not treat an unofficial forum answer as confirmation. Put the exact question to the German mission or Ausländerbehörde that handles the case, and save its written reply with your map.
Check every document for spelling, dates and name order. Small differences may be explainable, but finding them before the appointment gives you time to prepare supporting evidence rather than improvise at the counter.
